Kalian mungkin sering mengalami masalah Windows 10 yang jadi lelet, terutama yang mendapatkan Windows 10 dengan cara upgrade dari Windows 7 atau 8, pasti akan terjadi banyak sekali bug. Di postingan ini saya akan sharing bagaimana cara mempercepat Windows 10 yang lambat agar lebih ringan dan tidak lemot.

Kita hanya perlu melakukan sedikit tweaking pada bagian-bagian penting yang paling menentukan performa Windows 10 kita. Saat menginstall Windows 10, ada banyak sekali program bawaan native yang ikut diinstall secara otomatis.

Sebagian besar program ini sebenarnya tidak terlalu kita perlukan. Untuk meningkatkan performa Windows 10 kita agar lebih cepat maka program-program ini sebaiknya dihapus. Perlu kalian ketahui, meskipun program bawaan ini tidak kita jalankan namun sebagian besar akan ikut di-load saat Windows 10 dimulai. Program-program tersebut akan mengambil resource RAM dan CPU kita yang seharusnya bisa dialokasikan untuk pekerjaan lain yang lebih penting.

Hal ini bisa saja menyebabkan Windows 10 jadi lambat, terutama jika spesifikasi minimum untuk Windows 10 kita pas-pasan. Di menu ini semua program bawaan akan terlihat, silakan pilih-pilih mana yang kira-kira tidak kalian perlukan lalu klik Uninstall. Di sana mungkin ada beberapa program lama yang tidak kompatibel lagi dengan Windows Kalian bisa menghapusnya untuk mengosongkan lebih banyak space disk C dan meringankan beban RAM.

Langkah kedua untuk mengatasi Windows 10 yang lambat adalah dengan mengurangi program-program yang jalan ketika startup. Saat Windows booting, secara otomatis semua startup program akan ikut dimuat.

Jika terlalu banyak maka bisa menyebabkan loading Windows kita jadi lambat saat pertama kali menghidupkan laptop. Untuk mengatasinya, kita harus mematikan startup program yang tidak terlalu penting. Silakan kalian pilah-pilah sendiri kira-kira startup program mana yang memberatkan loading Windows dan tidak terlalu penting, lalu matikan semua.

Beberapa program yang membutuhkan proses sinkronisasi saat pertama kali dimulai seperti dropbox dan auto-updater sebaiknya dimatikan saja dari startup, karena bisa membuat Windows jadi lambat saat dihidupkan.

Cara untuk mempercepat Windows 10 yang lambat selanjutnya adalah dengan mematikan fitur power saver di settingan power options laptop kalian. Fitur power saver ini memang berguna untuk menghemat baterai agar lebih awet, tapi fitur ini juga secara otomatis akan menurunkan performa Windows 10 kita dengan mematikan service-service yang oleh sistem dianggap tidak penting.

Hal ini bisa membuat Windows sedikit lebih lambat dari biasanya. Setelah itu kalian mungkin perlu restart dulu laptopnya agar perubahannya bisa dirasakan. Nanti ketika diperlukan, misalnya ketika baterai laptop drop atau sedang bepergian maka fitur power saver ini bisa dihidupkan kembali. Windows 10 memang hadir dengan desain dan efek animasi yang cantik, tapi kadang kehadirannya justru membuat sistem Windows kita menjadi lebih berat.

Apalagi jika spesifikasi laptop atau PC kita pas-pasan, maka efek-efek yang sebenarnya tidak terlalu penting ini justru bisa membuat Windows jadi lemot. Untuk mengatasinya kita perlu mematikan fitur efek animasi di Windows 10 yang tidak kita perlukan.

Yang pertama perlu dimatikan adalah fitur Transparency effects, fitur ini berfungsi untuk memberikan efek tembus pandang pada tampilan menu Start dan jendela native Windows, tidak terlalu penting. Selanjutnya kita juga perlu mematikan efek animasi yang berlebihan agar Windows kita bisa loading lebih cepat.

Efek-efek ini fungsinya hanya memberikan sentuhan animasi pada tampilan jendela dan bar pada Windows. Cara mematikannya adalah dengan masuk ke menu Advanced System Settings. Setelah klik tombol OK mungkin Windows kalian membutuhkan waktu beberapa saat untuk mematikan efek animasinya, biarkan saja hingga selesai.

Jika terjadi not responding tunggu saja nanti akan hilang sendiri. Setelah prosesnya selesai kalian mungkin akan melihat tampilan Windows yang jadi flat dan tidak ada efek animasinya, tapi mungkin kalian juga akan merasakan Windows yang jadi lebih cepat dan ringan dari sebelumnya karena RAM dan CPU yang tadinya dipakai untuk animasi sekarang bisa dialokasikan untuk aplikasi lain.

Selain mematikan fitur animasi, kalian juga disarankan agar tidak menggunakan tema Windows 10 yang berat. Saya sarankan untuk menggunakan yang bawaan saja, jangan install tema dari sumber yang tidak jelas. Windows 10 secara otomatis melakukan pengindeksan file-file yang ada di hard disk kita. Proses ini berjalan di background sehingga kita tidak bisa melihatnya.

Secara teori, search indexing ini memungkinkan kita untuk melakukan pencarian file di hard disk dengan lebih cepat. Tapi bagi kalian yang memiliki spesifikasi pas-pasan, fitur ini kadang justru membuat loading Windows 10 jadi lebih lambat dari semestinya.

Apalagi jika file di hard disk kita sudah sangat banyak. Untuk meningkatkan performa Windows 10 menjadi lebih cepat kita bisa mematikan fitur search indexing ini. Selain mematikan fitur search indexing, kita juga bisa mempercepat loading Windows Explorer dengan mematikan fitur Automatic Folder Type Discovery. Fitur ini juga memiliki bug yang menyebabkan loading Windows jadi lemot. Cara mempercepat loading Windows 10 yang lambat selanjutnya adalah dengan mematikan fitur Tips and Trick Suggestions.

Fitur ini sebenarnya tidak terlalu kita butuhkan dan kadang justru membuat loading Windows 10 kita jadi lemot. Pada opsi Show me the Windows welcome experience… juga bisa kalian matikan karena fitur ini tidak terlalu penting. Untuk mempercepat loading Windows 10 pada saat pertama kali dihidupkan kita juga bisa mengurangi Time-Out pada Boot Menu. Jadi pada saat booting, Windows secara otomatis memberikan kita waktu untuk mengakses Boot Menu; seperti pilihan untuk masuk ke safe mode atau recovery mode.

Secara default waktu yang diberikan adalah 30 detik. Berapa nilai yang tepat silakan kalian sesuaikan sendiri, jika 10 detik dirasa terlalu cepat maka bisa dinaikkan jadi 15 detik. Setelah itu restart komputernya. Untuk meningkatkan performa agar lebih kencang kita juga harus membersihkan file sampah di Windows 10 secara teratur.

File-file sampah seperti cache, file duplikat , temporary file, system registry, dan leftover file yang tidak dibersihkan bisa menumpuk dan membuat sistem menjadi berat. Akibatnya loading Windows 10 kita akan terasa lebih lambat dari seharusnya. Untuk membersihkan file sampah ini kita bisa menggunakan aplikasi cleaner terbaik untuk Windows 10 yang bisa didapatkan secara gratis.

Di Windows 10 juga sudah tersedia aplikasi cleaner bawaan yang bisa digunakan untuk membersihkan file sampah di hard disk, namanya Storage Sense. Nanti Windows secara otomatis akan mendeteksi file-file sampah yang bisa dibersihkan, jika proses scanning sudah selesai klik tombol Remove files.

Untuk memperlancar game berat di Windows 10 kita bisa menggunakan aplikasi game booster seperti Razer Cortex Game Booster yang bisa didapatkan secara gratis. Aplikasi game booster ini bekerja dengan cara membersihkan RAM dari program-program yang berjalan di background dan tidak terlalu diperlukan saat bermain game. Efeknya memang cukup terasa, apalagi kita punya RAM yang pas-pasan. Setelah selesai bermain game, lakukan restore memory agar tidak terjadi error pada program lainnya. Salah satu penyebab loading Windows 10 yang lambat adalah infeksi virus dan malware di komputer kita.

Terkadang kita tidak sadar kalau Windows kita sudah terinfeksi, mungkin efek pertama yang dirasakan hanyalah loadingnya yang jadi lemot. Tapi kalau hal ini dibiarkan bisa saja membuat Windows jadi korup dan menyebabkan masalah lain yang lebih fatal seperti gagal startup atau blue screen. Untuk menjaga Windows tetap bersih dari virus dan malware kita bisa mengandalkan antivirus bawaan yakni Windows Defender. Selama kita menjaganya tetap update, Windows Defender ini cukup ampuh untuk menangkal serangan virus.

Jika semua langkah di atas sudah dilakukan namun performa Windows 10 masih lambat, bisa jadi penyebabnya adalah sistem yang korup atau ada masalah lain yang kita tidak tahu. Cara untuk mengatasinya bisa dengan menjalankan fitur Troubleshooter dari Windows. Dari hasilnya kalian mungkin akan mendapatkan petunjuk untuk melakukan perbaikan.
